Financing your mini split & the incentives that remain
Two levers make a mini split affordable in 2026: flexible financing that spreads the cost into monthly payments, and CPS Energy's rebate ($90–$310 per cooling ton on qualifying systems, verified July 2026). The federal 25C tax credit ended December 31, 2025.
Financing: comfort now, paid over time
You shouldn't have to live with a room you can't use because the timing's wrong. We offer flexible financing so you can get the system installed now and pay over time in manageable monthly payments. Qualifying is quick, and we'll walk you through the options on your free estimate so you can pick the plan that fits your budget.
CPS Energy rebates — available now (verified July 2026)
San Antonio's utility pays $90–$310 per cooling ton for qualifying high-efficiency mini-split heat pumps — the amount depends on the system's SEER2 tier and whether it's an early replacement or a replace-on-burnout. The install must be done by a Texas-licensed HVAC contractor and permitted inside city limits, both of which we handle. We verify your exact rebate amount before you sign anything.
The federal 25C credit ended — and what's coming from Texas
The federal 25C heat-pump tax credit ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025 — installs in 2026 or later earn no federal credit (2025 installs can still be claimed on 2025 returns). Texas's federally funded HEAR rebate program is not live yet: it's targeted for a fall 2026 launch pending federal approval, and no dollar figures are official. We won't quote Texas rebate dollars today — anyone who does is guessing — but we'll guide eligible homeowners through it the moment it opens.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use financing and a rebate together?
Yes — they work independently. Finance the project to spread the payments, and we'll process your CPS Energy rebate paperwork for a qualifying system alongside it. The rebate application must be submitted within 30 days of project completion, which we track for you.
Is the federal tax credit still available?
No — the federal 25C credit ended for systems placed in service after December 31, 2025. If your system was installed on or before that date you can still claim it on your 2025 return; installs from 2026 onward rely on CPS Energy rebates and, once it launches, the Texas HEAR program.
Is financing hard to qualify for?
It's quick and straightforward for most homeowners, subject to credit approval. We'll go over the plans during your free estimate and help you find the right fit.
